Soil
Lately, we've been studying the earth's lithosphere and geology. The lithosphere is the solid part of earth, which schools, homes, and stores are built on. We visited kidsgeo.com with partners to take notes and answer questions about earth's soil and how it is formed. In Mr. Ferranti's classroom we identified the different types of soil and which one filters water the best. The different types of soil were loam, clay, and sandy. They were easily defined by their texture, water drainage, and color. We linked kid's geo below.
