The Terrapins Team come together in the month of November to offer our services and generosity to support the Worcester Animal Rescue League.
November 9th, Karen Yeowell, WARL volunteer, and Mill Pond parent, along with 5 adorable, foster kittens, came to Mill Pond to speak to the 5th graders about the shelter's mission and needs. Students learned what they could do to support and help.
There was such a positive reaction from the kids, immediately they wanted to help the animals. In response, students made posters to spread the word of WARL's wish list around the school, and collected any donated items. Some students even started a dog walking business and have donated 100% of their proceeds to help the animals. Mrs. Yeowell collected the donations at school and delivered them to the shelter with her Girl Scout troop.
