We thank the MPG for giving us the funds we needed to get more yoga balls and wiggle seats. They are really helping our classroom get the jitters out. Here we have some pictures of students relaxing on the new seats. Which do you like better? Ball or Wiggle seat? This week we started a new unit : Geometry! In geometry workshop kids had fun going on the computer (www.studyjams.com), playing math games, and studying hard for our test next Tuesday. Are you ready for the test on next Tuesday? On Friday when we connected for a Mystery Skype, students were assigned jobs to assure participation by all learners. Jobs included greeters, interviewers, researchers, question directors, recorders and photographers. The kids did a great job asking questions to guess the correct state. We learned that this state borders a large body of water, a mountain range goes through the state, it does not border canada, is not in the west coast or in New England and is not in the central time zone. The state was....Pennsylvania. The body of water was a great lake. That threw us off for a minute. It was a coincidence that our new student Alex came from Pennsylvania too! They seemed to know Alex's school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. What was your favorite mystery skype? We were very happy to welcome Alex to our classroom on Friday. It was also his birthday! We hope Alex will have a wonderful time at Mill Pond! Our students are very excited to have a new member in our classroon. Welcome to Mill Pond, Alex! Entries written by Asad, Shalini and Helen

It was really exciting to have a new student in our class, I think Alex is going to fit right in with every body else.On the other hand I think the yoga balls are better because there really conforable for me and there not to high for me like the wiggle seats are but that's just what I think though.

I'm really excited that we have a new student in our class and he can join in with everybody else. I prefer the wiggle seats more than the yoga balls because they are not too big and are more comfortable.

I love the balls and the wiggle seats because they make me see better and they are really comfortable. They have not been a detraction to me.

I like the yoga balls better because they are more comfortable than the wiggle seats and if im facing the back of the room I can quickly turn to the front.

I prefer using the seats than the balls because the balls seem a little too low as a chair. I am confident about the test on Tuesday, but there are a few questions I am still having trouble with. Our most recent skype was my favorite one because it was such a coincidence Alex also lived in Pennsylvania! I liked how people were assigned jobs so that everybody was working.

I prefer yoga balls because you can bounce on them although they are a little low. Wiggle seats are a close second. My favorite skype was with Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

I think it's cool having a new kid right after a new teacher. So far it looks like Alex has lots of friends so I think he'll fit right in.

Alex is a great new student I think he will fit right in. In my opinion I think the balls are better than the seats but the green balls are a little small.

I think that having Alex in our class will be a lot of fun. I prefer wiggles seats over balls because the balls can be distracting and less comfortable then the wiggle seats.

I think the wiggle seats help me sit better then the balls because the balls are kind of districting and they don't really feel the same as siting on a chair. I'm more used to siting on seats then siting on balls that's why I perfer seats better.

My preference is the balls to the wiggle seats because the balls feel more bouncy and comfortable. Also, I am looking forward to meeting Alex as I was absent on Friday and Today(Monday). In fact, I think he is sitting right next to me. I really like making new friends.

I definitely prefer the wiggle seats to the balls! The balls are always moving around underneath me and making distracting noices. But the wiggle seats are quiet and comfortable.

I thing the wiggle seats and balls are great because the chairs make your back hurt.
